The bill adds the following language to Kentucky's Insurance Code:
Notwithstanding
any existing state-mandated health insurance benefit, any individual or group
in Kentucky may negotiate with any insurance provider in this state or another
state the terms of a health benefit plan that meets the individual's or group's
needs.
(2) Any individual or group may join together
with others to create a pool in order to pursue advantageous premium rates.
ObamaCare zealots in the House will throw a fit when they see this, but it is sorely needed. The worst part, from their perspective, is the "meets the individual's or group's needs." Please ask your state representative to co-sponsor this bill.
