Cindy Sheehan? In Kentucky?

I'm chasing a rumor that Cindy Sheehan -- straight from dancing with Cynthia McKinney at her primary loss party -- is coming to Kentucky to campaign with Democrat candidates.

Now that's a good idea.

As a Republican, you need to wake up and understand that the war in Iraq is not popular, particularly now that most people including Republicans like myself know Bush lied about WMDs.

Kentucky has felt the brunt of casualties from Iraq with Holmes HS (Covington) being one of the High Schools with the highest casualty rates from Alums.

Ummmm, Anonymous,

Where did he bring up the Iraq War? No matter where you stand on the Iraq War most reasonable people understand that Sheehan is an unamerican, chavez-loving leftist.

When are you liberals going to give up on this "Bush lied" crap? First, Mr. Bush relied on the same evidence that Clinton, Kerry, et al, relied upon to say that Sadam had WMDs. Second, they did find WMDs. If Bush was wrong, he was mistaken, not lying. On the other hand, you know that Mr. Bush did not lie, yet you persist in saying that he did. That makes you a liar. What wonderful irony.

Amen, 11:06. Republican my foot.

Yeah 9:55, 8:21 said something we don't like, so let's call him a liar. Obviously Mr. As-A-Republican hasn't served in the military, which is too bad, otherwise we could swift-boat him. I know Bush would never lie about anything except to say he never did drugs. Which is ok, that would send the wrong message to kids.

As a veteran I happen to agree with anon (8:21).

Having served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm we knew what the purpose of the exercise and the exit strategy.

President Bush when he got us into Iraq failed to adhere to any of the strategies taught at our nation's war colleges. That strategy is to have an exit strategy before you send the first troops in. Figure out how you are going to win the peace as well as the war.

This President has lied to the military about WMDs.

The Administration was dead set on going into Iraq as soon as 9/11 occurred.

As a result of the war in Iraq, what we tried to accomplish in Afghanastan is threatened.

Additionally, potential enemies no longer respect our power as seen in the Middle East and Korea.

This has all occurred on the watch of Bush/Chaney.

You guys, if there are indeed two of you, ae the most obvious trolls. No one outside of the moonbats believes the "Bush lied" mantra, certainly not anyone not predisposed to disbelieve him, being veterans or Republicans. The child corpses of Halabja wish he had lied, but of course they did with lungs full of poison gas. A list of other huge liars saying Iraq had WMD would include Clinton, Gore, Kerry Annan, Chirac, Ted Kennedy, the UN Securoty Council, including Syria, which voted for the last resolution. Go back to BluegrassReport with that nonsense.

That shoul read child corpses "died" with lungs full of poison gas. That didn't exist.

In case you "no WMDs" nutjobs haven't heard, they DID find chemical weapons in Iraq. Sen. Santorum, unfortunately, can't get the mainstream press to do anything with the information he released last month.

I feel for Cindy Sheehan in the loss of her son, but her grief does not make her a public policy expert, nor does it make her political opinion any more valid than anyone else's. There are many more grieving parents who have the opposite view of Cindy Sheehan than there are those who agree with her.

What I am the most sick of is people talking about things being popular or unpopular.

Even if the majority of the country really does believe we should leave Iraq, that doesn't make leaving Iraq the right decision!! The right thing to do is not always popular.

We're a sick nation, and it doesn't surprise me at all to hear "a majority of Americans believes the Iraq War is a mistake." Frankly, though, it doesn't matter what the majority of Americans think regarding this issue. All you can do is vote. I thank God every day that we have a president and an administration that, for the most part, doesn't care about what stupid polls say. He wants to do the right thing. He wants to do what is best for the long term. That course of action won't necessarily be popular right now, but I can guarantee you that a hundred years from now Americans will survey history and thank God that we did what we are now doing.

Myopic America. At least the voting bloc is majority conservative.

They always change the subject or remember an important appointment elsewhere whenever I mention Halabja. "Chemical Ali" didn't get his nickname from eating White Castle, boys. Iraq not only had WMD, it used them on children. Take the "Bush lied" stuff back to the coffee shop where it sells.

But he didn't lie about them. You are either lying yourself or are completely in the dark as to the facts.
