2007 Kaypee Awards
Probably should have thought about this a week ago, but I was inspired today by Bluegrass Roots' Rooties and came up with a name for a Kentucky awards show called the Kaypees.
Time is short to really do it justice, but if you have a funny nomination, have at it. Otherwise, I thought we might take the high road and try to come up with a consensus Best Public Policy Idea/Worst Public Policy Idea for 2008.

I wasted 10 minutes of my life that I won't get back reading those stupid Rooties.
10:44: Thank you... your comment is why I love reading blogs. There's nothing better than reading some of the pithy put downs on these sites. That's why anonymous comments are so important.
Anyways.... after reading the partially witty, partially kooky BGRooties, I have a couple of reccomendations:
The Blogger with too much time on his/her hands- I nominate Hillbilly Report. He's created several vulgar videos of himself in an effort to slam McConnell including one where he finds a group of buds and goes into a bathroom dancing to highlight Craig's "wide stance."
Another might be the Most Adult Blog... or the X Rated Blog... I don't know what it is w/ the liberal blogs, esp. BGRoots and Ditch Mitch, but they have trouble making a point without being vulgar. I spent two years in the Army and nearly eight in the Guard and I never heard as much cussin' there as I do on those sites... OK, maybe I did, but I still think it's demeaning on a prominent political site... and revealing...
Someone might also find the most vicious blog on blog wars. We had some bloodbaths in the Gubernatorial primary.
Finally, I suggest you create a sleuthing category and give yourself an award for some of the great coverage on the jail. Some bloggers have sources, Kaypee has CI's. ;)
Ditto on KP's sleuthing which is evident in the jail scandal that the Heraldo-Liberal is suspiciously keeping mostly under wraps!

Also, I must call out David on his ability as a wordsmith. Many of KP's blog writeups are very well put together and say a lot in very few words. Some of them really crack me up as well.
You have done well KP! I don't have a lot of time for this blog stuff, but yours is well written enough that I will take the time to read it. If I saw for one moment that you were a sheep of the blamestream media shepherd of lies, distortion, slant, and misinformation [liberal dogma and propaganda], I wouldn't waste my time.
2007 Kaypee Award for worst idea: ANYTHING CONSERVATIVE! Tried conservativism....all it got us was a war in Iraq
